Ever since entering the technology PR industry 25 years ago, Dana has been driven by the constant state of innovation and excitement of what lies ahead. This passion for helping new and emerging growth companies succinctly communicate and share their stories combined with her strategic thinking and high-energy, persistent style has made her one of the leading tech PR practitioners in the country.

As co-founder of Red Javelin Communications, Dana leads her teams to implement creative, impactful and integrated public relations, social media, content marketing, international PR, and crisis communications programs – for innovators ranging from start-ups to publicly held corporations. She’s an expert in helping early-stage companies translating technical innovation into compelling messaging, increasing awareness of their businesses and market categories and creating industry leaders. She is sought out for her deep expertise in artificial intelligence (AI), security, Internet of Things (IoT), travel, cloud, storage, education technology, sales & marketing software, edtech, health tech, and enterprise/IT software.

Prior to founding Red Javelin, Dana was Senior Vice President at Schwartz Communications (MSLGROUP) where she played a critical role in the success and growth of the agency, from 20 to 250 employees, 85 clients and $33 million in revenues. Her clients included Open Market, Security Dynamics (RSA Security), SpeechWorks (Nuance), Be Free, Viaweb (Yahoo), Lycos, Gamesville, MapInfo, NECX, and Xylogics (Bay Networks). Dana was also Account Manager at Tech PR firm Rourke & Co (Manning, Selvage & Lee), Consultant at Schubert Associates, Financial Analyst at BBN Communications and Consultant at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).

Dana has spoken at college and marketing and entrepreneurial events including NEVDA, mentor for Babson College’s Butler Venture Accelerator program, a participant in Boston College’s Shea Center Round Robin Workshops for Budding Entrepreneurs, annual judge for Babson College’s Blank Center’s B.E.T.A. Challenge competition and guest lecturer at Babson College and MIT Sloan. Dana holds a M.B.A. from Babson College, a B.S. in Finance and Computer Science from Boston College (Go Eagles!) and currently lives in Sudbury, MA.
